Here are some animals that are endangered:
- Amur Leopard - This amazing leopard can run up to speeds of 60 kms per hour, and it can also jump about 3 meters vertically in the air. This species of leopard is very nimble and quick, but it is also very strong mentally and physically, due to its very tough skin/fur. 16 17
- Hawks-bill Turtle - The Hawks-Bill turtle is a species of turtle that lives just above the bottom of the ocean feeding on sponges. The turtle can weigh up to about 70 kgs and grow up to a length of about 115 centimeters. Due to its need to feed on sponges, the Hawks-Bill turtle stays clear of the deep oceans therefore staying close to the oceans on the coastline of tropical islands. 18 19
- Mountain Gorilla - The gorilla naturally grows there silver-back tinge at the age of about 13 when they reach their adulthood. The poor Mountain Gorillas got pushed up into the dangerous mountains by humans in the area. This dramatically decreased their numbers due to gorillas injuring themselves after falling down the rocky mountains. 20 21 24
- South China Tiger - A tiger that once had over 4,000 in its species, now hasn't been seen in the wild for years. Some people say it is extinct in the wild but there are still some numbers out there. The South China Tiger doesn't have any significant visual aspects to it, but they do all live in the southern forests of China. 22 25
- African Wild Dog - The African Wild Dog is a mammal that is one of the most endangered in the world. It only has 4 toes on each foot however, the height of its legs make up for their shortage of toes. It can hunt in packs of up to 40-helping them to stay alive against predators. Some people also call it the, 'Painted Dog' (which is its Latin name) due to its tremendous coloured coat/fur. 23 24
